Money Can’t Lie (The Sleeper Book 1) by Anna Schlegel Review

Anna Schlegel’s “Money Can’t Lie”

Writer: Anna Schlegel

Plot: Vlad Holt (Russian Spy) and Harvey Smith (American Spy) Customer Ratings: 3.5 stars out of 5

Wise people say, life is tasteless without books, which is so true and very hard to disagree. Being a history enthusiastic, I am always on hunt to get my hands on something interesting. Usually, in order to know more i.e., about our world’s “past”, we have to read very lengthy books of more than thousand pages .

But, to be honest, I absolutely hate reading bulky books. They are so hard to handle after all; and also, I am lazy and don’t like being on the same for months. That is why I always look for “shortcuts”. While looking for and opting any such shortcut, I have made two rules for myself. No ifs or buts, it “must be interesting” and “no compromises at all”.

Recently, I got a chance to make Anna Schlegel’s “Money Can’t Lie (The Sleeper Book 1)” my companion for few days. I must say, it was beyond my expectations. Firstly of all, it was almost of two hundred pages. This feature made me opt it at once. Before shopping it, I searched for it’s reviews on the internet. Many people were a little unhappy with the translation which was down from Russian to English. They were preferring the Russian version. Hence, my hands trembled a bit while I started reading it. But…. I got comfortable with it in no time.

Words which were used were very easy and so was the language. It truly was of my type. As a history lover, I have always found talks about Russia and America very interesting. It has become more like a hobby for me to keep my eyes on their matters. First page of this book… and I was actually in awe that how a tiff between these two super powers was given the form of a novel. Telling you a secret, I had never thought that one day I would get to know about the adventurous past of the world in this way. Anna and her two spys did a wonder.

“Money can’t lie” contains a unique blend of actions, suspense, fraud, money and history, with a particular focus on the 20th century revolution and the consequences of these events Harvey Smith. For a mess in transaction involving a large number of prominent countries, these two spy were hired. But how circumstances turned against them? Why were suddenly they called “traitors”? What they did? Did they succeed or not in proving their innocence? Well.. Mentioning that here will be an “offense”, Seriously. I really do not want to do that.

So, it is better that one must read this great piece himself or herself. There is a plenty of room for humor as well. Indeed, the very idea of making the two spys the citizens of two staunchest rivals was very great. I loved that the most. I recommend everyone to read it. To order it from you can Click here…

Last words: Simpleand interesting. You do not need a detective’s or philosopher’s brain to enjoy its bits. This book is for everyone.

Game of Thrones Season 7 Directors: Our Fantastic Four Mamas

Leadership is very important. It plays a vital role. Let us take example of our homes. We are nothing without our mothers. Why? Have you ever thought about this? Well… Its answer is easy but this job is not. They know everything and have answers to all our questions. Mothers keep us organized. They lead. While the only question we ask from our father is: “Dad, where is Mama?” So, you have got well how much leadership is important. Now… The situation is not different when it comes to managing a series-crew. Directors – they are the backbone of success of any film or show as they keep actors and the whole set organized.

Today, we will be introducing the fantastic four directors who are leading Game of Thrones’ gang in season 7. Guess what? they are all men:

Jeremy Podeswa

He is the only one among our “Fantastic Fours” who has directed seven episodes of Game of Thrones season seven. Previously he has directed Boardwalk Empire, Queer as Folk, and The Tudors. He was the one who directed John Snow’s resurrection.

Mark Mylod

He has directed episode 2 and 3 of the series. Talking about his previous experience, he has directed Entourage, The Royle Family and Shameless. What he loved the most? Arya Stark and the Waif final face-off in the episode 8 of Game of Thrones season 6. We must say, his choice is a “fire”.

Mark Maylod arrives at the “What’s Your Number?” Los Angeles Premiere at the Regency Village Theatre on September 19, 2011 in Westwood, California.

Matt Shakman

He has directed episode 4 and 5. He has previously directed many TV series, like House, The Good Wife, and FX’s Fargo. When we asked about his favorite Game of Thrones season, he said “All!”. Matt is surely a GoT Maniac.

Matt Shakman during an interview.

Alan Taylor

He has directed only one episode and that is episode number 6. He has also directed Thor, The Dark World, Sex and the City, and Terminator Genisys. His most favorite Game of Thrones episode is Valar Morghulis , when Daenerys sealed her suitor Xaro Xhoan Daxos inside Qarth vault, and then Arya discovered powers of the Faceless Men. (Wow, man, your choice…)

Tubelight Movie Review: Salman Khan a Bane or a Boon?

Salman Khan with Zhu Zhu in a movie still.

Cast: Brijendra Kala, Matin Rey Tangu, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Om Puri, Salman Khan, Sohail Khan, Yashpal Sharma, Zhu Zhu

Cameo: Shah Rukh Khan

Director: Kabir Khan

Producer: Salma Khan and Salman Khan

Rating: 3 star (out of 5)

Tubelight is an anti-war movie that elucidates the futility of war and teaches us the importance of not hating the ones who you are at war with. The film is a Bollywood remake of the 2015 Hollywood venture “Little Boy” by Alejandro Monteverde. The child hero Pepper, an 8-years old boy, beleaguered because of his small size, becomes Laxman Singh Bisht (Salman Khan) an obtuse adult who is bullied by Narayan (Zeeshan Ayyub). Salman has been excellent at playing a macho-man child throughout his career. His innocence and naughtiness combined with his fetching looks have always charmed us.  Now, here it is significant to note that for someone who is muscled and bulky like Salman Khan it is not easy getting used to him playing someone who is has mental limitations.

Both Salman Khan and Pepper’s actions in the movies are driven by these words of Jesus “For truly I say unto you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say unto this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. And nothing shall be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17:20)

Laxman and Pepper trying to “Move Things” with their faith.

The film is all about Laxman’s faith. Laxman and his younger brother Bharat (Sohail Khan) lost their parents at a very young age, and have been everything to each other ever since. Laxman himself explained his life in one scene: “Peetaji ko sharaab nee, maa ko ghum neu aurh Gandhi Jee ko hum nee maar deya.” (Alcohol killed father, misery killed mother, and we murdered Gandhi jee). Ironic.

Bharat (Sohail Khan) leaves Jagatpur for the battlefield to fight against the Chinese and Laxman (Salman Khan) becomes convinced that his faith will bring his beloved brother back.

Salman Khan and Sohail Khan in a still from Tubelight. We simply loved the way Sohail looks at his brother in this scene.

Kabir Khan is a true genius casting real life siblings as reel life siblings. This has helped him successfully develop the right feel and emotions. Even the ones who have not seen any of their loved ones going to fight a war will understand Laxman’s pain because this feeling is universal.

This film very beautifully highlighted the issue of racism but unfortunately does absolutely nothing to deliver an anti-racism message. Salman himself had a mental block against a Matin Rey Tangu upon their first encounter. Thinking that the boy was Chinese Laxman asked him to chant “Baharat Maata Ki Jai!” to prove his love for India. The boy’s shout was loud enough to scatter a herd of sheep. The then said, “I shouted louder, so that makes me more Indian than you are?”

Now this sentence may seem simple, but it is so deep and is indeed a tight slap on patriotism.

Martin is adorable. Every time he is on screen, he steals the show.

Zhu Zhu, playing the role of Martin’s mother, is a treat for the eyes. She keeps wishing for the war to end so her father can return (if he is alive).

Matin, Salman and Zu Zu ina still from Tubelight. Aren’t they cute?

Another good thing about this movie is Om Puri. He is seen sharing Gandhi’s wisdom with Laxman. He is better utilized in this movie than he has been in the highly acclaimed “Death in the Gunj” that is also now in theatres. Tubelight surely remind us of the great actor he once was.

Om Puri in a still from Tunelight. Gosh! we are gonna miss him.

Unfortunately, the film is a one-man show, not enough time is spent on developing the supporting characters and that is a reason why Tubelight even after being a wonderfully written film lacks a spark.

Being a good-message film is sometimes not enough. I appreciate how Kabir Khan always highlights tough issues with courage. But courage alone sometimes is not sufficient to make Great Films.

To be honest, Salman is both a bane and a boon for Tubelight. He ruins it because of his acting limitations, but he is the man who will carry Tubelight to the 100-crore club.

As far as the ending is concerned, the film has a clichéd ending where everyone lives happily ever after. Seems like Kabir Khan thought too much about Bhai’s fans. After all, would the fans be happy if Bhai ended up sad and lonely?

You have to see the movie to better know the How’s and Why’s of the film.

As for now you can have a look at its Trailer uploaded on YouTube… Do watch it in the Cinemas. I’m sure you will love it. Happy Watching!

Transformers: The Last Knight Trailer Review

Michael Bay’s fifth transformer movie Transformers: The Last Knight release date is June 21, 2017. Paramount pictures has already released its trailer, which gives a brief yet clear idea about its storyline. Right now one cannot predict whether this movie will surpass the $1.104 billion box office earnings of Transformers: Age of Extinction or not, but one thing is clear that this time it is serious. Something that we have never seen in Michael Bay’s movies. Here is Transformers: The Last Night International Trailer Review for all of you who are anxiously waiting for this movie.

The title gives us a hint that the decade old Transformer franchise is going to wrap itself up. Which makes sense to me. People have somehow become less interested in watching good robots fighting the bad robots. But could this really be the end of Transformer legacy?

First of all, here is the Transformers: The Last Knight Trailers which were uploaded on YouTube. Now that you have seen the trailer let us have a closer look at it.

What? A bleeding crucifix? Is it human blood or the transformer’s blood? But wait… Do transformers really bleed? Why not? We have seen them urinating so possibilities are that this can be the transformers blood or some machine fluid.  Now this is something serious and it is confusing most of us. First half of the trailer is all about ancient wars, knights riding the horses, bleeding soldiers and Nazis terrorizing Europe.

Transformer movies have always been about glamorous chicks (remember the first Transformers film had Megan Fox bending over a car in a pair of tight shorts) and cool robots the trailer shows that this movie is going to break the core transformer myths.

But what is the purpose of these historic flashbacks? Is this a clue that the key to saving the future of humans and transformers lies buried in the secrets of the past? Well, maybe.

The trailer makes it very clear that the transformers have been a part of human history since a very long time. Have you seen that Dragon? Yeah, it shows that Transformers used to change into dragons before cars, trucks, and jets existed. Cool, isn’t it?

Why is Optimus Prime lost in the space? What happened to him? Remember that he blasted off into space to look for The Creators at the end of Transformers: The Age of Extinction. God, I think the makers wanted us to believe that our hero is dead. Obviously, it’s fake. Optimus Prime can never die.

Now the trailer has so many things to notice. We can see Optimus Prime and Bumblebee fighting. Have you noticed during the fight that his eyes were glowing purple instead of the usual electric blue? Maybe he is under some kind of trance. See I told you that this time is going to be something serious. Why are our heroes turning into villains? Is it really the end? Well, we will figure it out when the movie hits the theaters.

Meet Isabela Moner is playing a character named Izabella. She was orphaned during the battle of Chicago. We can see her trying to fix a broken and wonky Vespa scooter transformer known as Sqweeks.

Later we can see Cade Yaeger aka Mark Wahlberg running to grab her while some explosion goes off in the distance in front of what appears to be several Transformers. Are they Autobots or Decepticons? If both of them are running, then they might not be the friendly ones. We can tell that when Moner says, “I want to stay, and I want to fight them.” Brave Girl…

Anthony Hopkins

Anthony Hopkins clip in a large room with some important artifacts hints that maybe he is playing the Wise counsellor or someone who knows the Human-Transformer history really well. Notice that the sword is same that we saw in the opening shot.

The sword has a Latin text on it “Victoria Sine” which means “victory without”. This gives a hint towards a line said by Hopkins earlier in the trailer “Without sacrifice, there can be no victory”. Could this possibly mean that someone has to sacrifice his/her life to save the future? Is it a hint that someone is going to die? Maybe the title is not about the end of Transformer movies. Maybe it gives us a hint towards a major death. Who is going to die? Gosh, there are so many questions and the wait is killing us.

I have already fallen in love with its trailer and am anxiously waiting for the movie to hit the theaters. I am sure it is going to surprise us all. Fingers Crossed!

Folks Joining Game of Thrones Gang in Season 7

Game of Thrones has always been the audience’s favorite. From direction to storyline to the cast, everything has always been perfect. No doubt, there can be no question about Game of Thrones popularity and success; but in season 7, as compared to the previous seasons more new cast members have been added. Game of Thrones has always incorporated famous bands in its storyline for cameos, with Will Champion drumming at the Red Wedding, Sigur Rós performing at Joffrey’s wedding and Mastodon playing wildlings raised from the dead at Hardho it never failed to overjoy its audience. This time too many folks will be joining the team. Here is a list:

Ed Sheeran

We absolutely love how he always carries a naughty smile on his face. Though many strive to have him in their shows, most often he does not show up. Seems like luck was on Games of Thrones side this time. It succeeded. To quote David Benioff: “For years we were strived hard enough to have him in our series to make Maisie Williams aka Arya Stark get in awe and this year we did it. Finally.” huge fan of Sheeran. Yes! She is a huge fan of Ed Sheeran. Furthermore, on March 12, we came to know that Sheeran and Maisie filmed a cameo together. How lucky. It is said that it was supposedly a gesture of the creators of the show. Sweet!

Arya’s singing master, maybe?

Tom Hopper and Jim Broadbent

We know both of them so well. They appeared in Harry Potter. We have loved them then and we will love them now as well. Tom is going to take over the role of Dickon, but Broadbent is all set to break the doors and grace our screens as Archmaester. He will be appearing in five episodes with “a major scene in each episode”. Wow! This means his role is “significant”.

Tom Hopper as Dickon Tarly in Game of Thrones… Cool!

Jim Broadbent will be seen playing an archmaester in the Oldtown

From season one, various musicians have done cameos in Game of Thrones. In season 7, it is Bastille’s turn. It has been reported that Bastille filmed a cameo on January 19, in which they were dressed as wildlings. However, when they were asked about it at the VO5 NME Awards on 15 February, their frontman, Dan Smith, said it loud enough that it was “merely a studio tour. We are going to see. We are going to see.” Hmmm! He gave an ambiguous statement. Seems like the Bastille’s are planning to surprise us all. A fart in the wind or not? Let us wait and see.

Jeez! Bastille are going to be the hottest wildings ever.

Brendan Morrissey and Rory Dignam

In the second last month of 2016, two Irish actors were added to the cast, Morrissey & Dignam were added to the cast. The CV of Morrissey says that he is going to play ‘Fray’s Lord’ in one of the episodes directed by Jeremy Podeswa. How cool. Sadly, we could not get to know much about the role and it is still unknown. However, the website of his agent has called it “A very nice little supporting role”.

Joseph Quinn

He will play a non-book character called Koner.

Let’s see whether Joseph Quinn can survive long in the power game or not.

Noah Syndergaard

Not just actors sports players are also included in the gang this season. Noah, who is the New York Mets’ baseball player, filmed cameo in Spain, in November 2016. Expressing his excitement, he said, “They knew so well that I am a fan & they invited me to be a part. It was so hard for me to say no. I loudly shouted, “yesssssss!”

Indeed, Noah has all those f air-haired, tall and handsome Lannister qualities.

Some Others

Finally, Conor McGregor, Brendan Cowell (Aussie actor), Megan Parkinson, Philip O’Sullivan (Irish actor) and Paul Ward will also be a part of the upcoming season.

Game of Thrones Season 7 Insights and Updates

Not many of us like summers. But this year, the case is totally opposite. Everybody is impatiently waiting for beams of sun to be at their peak. No, not for mangoes. Well… They too are our heartthrob; however, Game of Thrones is a bit more close to our heart. Why should it not be? After all, season 7 is expected to be its second last season.

The Long Night is Coming

Let’s look into the updates quickly

  1. Dragons are the real spark of this series. Talking about them, the new director, Matt Shakman, has said, “They will be ‘the size of 747s’ in the new series.

Some crazy dragon stuff is going to happen

  2. There is an addition in the characters. Ed Sheeran and Mastodon’s Brent Hinds are going to perform a cameo role in the season 7. Click here for details…

Really? I can’t believe Game of Thrones is doing this.

  3. Its fantastic team has given hits and goose bumps in the form of Game of Thrones official trailer, which was released by HBO on March 9, 2017.

The power game is about to begin

  4. In case of notables like Game of Thrones, it rarely happens in the entertainment industry that something does not get leak. The same has happened here too. The photos of new set were leaked online in March’s first week. We are going to share them soon. Be patient. *Winks*

    We love the leaks

  5. The glamorous wolves will give life to this series. And guess what, Maisie Williams has shot some scenes with them in Canada. Wow!

Ghost would kill for John. So would I

  6. There were some rumors about Bastille & UFC fighter Conor McGregor joining Team-GoT, but they have totally denied the rumors. So sad and unfortunate.

    Tell me its not true

  7. Spain, Northern Ireland, Iceland and Croatia. These countries have the honor of greeting Team-GoT. Many scenes were shot there and it has raised our excitement level.

Yes, this rose my excitement level.

  8. Season 7 has four directors. One newbie, Matt Shakman, is an addition.

  9. There has been an addition of many new characters. They are going to be performed by Jim Broadbent, Tom Hopper, Regan Parkinson, and Noah Syndergaard. Well it sounds great. Click here for details…
  10. Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark, reveals a secret about her character. She has given a hit that she will go darker and turn evil. Therefore, possibilities exist that she may not be alive in the final season. Come on now, we definitely want her to be the part of the final season. It will be a joy watching the Starks take their revenge and live happily ever after.

No, this can’t be true. Tell me its a lie. Please…

What are we going to see in season 7?

Although all other seasons from 1 – 6 started in March or April, but this one is going to be live in July 2016. David Benioff and Daniel Weiss said, “We are beginning a bit later because winters are here at the end of this season (6) – and which means that sunny-sunny weather is not going to really serve our object any further.”

The show is expected to be air in the USA 2 to 3 months later than usual, on July 16, 2017. However, those living in UK can catch the episode twice on July 17, 2017 on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV). The airing time is expect to be at 2 am and 9 pm respectively.

How long will we be able to enjoy it – number of episodes?

As per Maisie Williams (Arya Stark): “We just have 7 episodes this time, but there is a twist and surprise for the audience. We are shooting for bit long than normal, so there is going to be more content.” Iain Glen has explained in detail that this series has only 13 episodes left. So there is going to be “15 hours” of the content – which is equal to about. 69 minutes per episode.

Let’s do it…

Breaking bit about season 8 as well… Cool, isn’t it?

They are going to be 6 episodes in the final season. This was confirmed on March 12,2017. This broke my heart and made me cry.

A Goodbye? No, Game of Thrones will forever be in our hearts.

But our curiosity and zeal remained constant. So… Hey, July, when are you coming? 😉

Spider-Man Homecoming Movie Trailer Review: Have Your Tickets Ready

Unlike Marvel Studio’s contemporary superheroes, Spider-Man has always been portrayed as a promising teenager who tries to balance his heroic-duties the high school responsibilities. Which surely is not an easy thing to do if you have to save the world and your grades probably at the same time. Sometimes deciding which one is the toughest requires many discussions. Some would say that saving the world might perhaps be the coolest thing, which can bring girls and glory all at the same time.

Since Peter Parker is a kid trying to fit in and be a hero this makes him the most compelling young lad. Furthermore, most of his villains are science freaks and the conflicts that he face are purely local. They are not earth shattering, world breaking, and galaxy-spanning issues. Spidey does not play well as an uber action hero. This film seems to have it right!

First of all, before I begin here are the Spider-Man Homecoming Trailers uploaded on YouTube. But beware; you might fall in love with Tom Holland. He is definitely a treat for the eyes.

Spider-Man Battles Fake Super Villains
The trailer is packed with big Spidey moments. God! I just love how he manages to retain his sense of humor despite the tragedies he face as a savior. Some of scenes will remind you of Bugs Bunny when the he will cleverly “What’s up Doc” his way out of a bank robbery, fighting the fake avengers.

Spider-Man striking the Bugs Bunny Pose

Spidey Gets All the Avenger Support He Needs
Well not to disappoint the Avengers fans Spider-Man Homecoming will be featuring the real heroes as well. Robert Downey Jr. as the Iron-Man will be fighting the evil and mentoring our beloved Spidey. Especially when the villain wears a cybernetic flying suit. Iron-Man’s entry was a must to assist Peter Parker at some point.

Another good news is that Iron-Man is not the only one to grace the screen with his presence, as our very own Captain American will also be a part of a fitness challenge PSA shown in the gym of high school.

Iron-Man and Captain America in Spider-Man Homecoming Movie

Michael Keaton as “The Vulture”
From the Green Goblin to the Lizard, Spider-Man movies always feature a variety of villains. In Spider-Man Homecoming, he will fight the old comic baddie “The Vulture” and I’m very excited to see how the fight will end. Seems like the Vulture will be hard to defeat, but Spidey’s eventually going to win. After all good always triumphs over the evil. This is going to be Michael Keaton’s third bird themed role. His most noteworthy contribution to superhero movie genre was his role as Batman, but now he is going to be a “Bad-Man” and I bet you are going to love it.

Flying suit of the Vulture is a well-upgraded version of the green feathery costume that we always saw in the comic books. I simply loved the costume because of the details. Especially the inclusion of feathers around the neck and big steal wings are absolutely stunning. These wings are powerful enough to split an entire cruise ship in half. Here is a glimpse of both the comic and movie versions of the Vulture.

Michael Keaton as Vulture.

Spider-Man Got a New Costume
And how can I forget to mention the changes in the costume that Spider-Man wears. If you have read Spider-Man comic books, you will know that the web wings have long been a part of Spidey’s original costume in the comic books. The trailer has given us a glimpse of these and I am sure you are anxiously waiting to see the wings in action.

Spider-Man just got wings to fly.

Spider-Man Homecoming official release date is 28 June 2017 and we will have to wait to see if the movie works out well or not. In conclusion, one thing is certain; no matter how the movie performs in theaters and how much profit it earns; our love for Spider-Man will never die and we will always wait to see more of him on the big screen.
